Hoplr, based in Belgium, has developed a secure and inclusive neighbourhood network that fosters connection and mutual assistance among residents. The platform enables informal care circles, neighbour help requests, and moderated community discussions — all within an accessible and multilingual interface. With role-based access for caregivers and APIs that connect to municipal systems and homecare providers, Hoplr bridges formal and informal care networks to better support older adults living independently at home. Through the ACE project, Hoplr is collaborating with Het Baken in Hattem to explore how digital neighbourhood engagement can complement professional care, enhance community resilience, and reduce social isolation among seniors.
