OptiSense Care develops innovative technologies designed to enhance patient well-being and create better working conditions for care professionals. Their solutions aim to reduce unnecessary tasks, allowing staff to focus on what truly matters—delivering attentive and compassionate care. Families also gain reassurance knowing their loved ones receive the attention they deserve. The company’s flagship product, ZenSeat, is an AI-powered smart toilet seat that discreetly monitors bowel movements. While appearing like a standard toilet seat, it integrates built-in radar sensors and electronics that wirelessly alert staff if no bowel movement has been detected within a set timeframe—typically one day. This enables early intervention, prevents discomfort, and supports proactive and dignified care for residents. Through the ACE project, OptiSense Care is collaborating with Aarhus Municipality to validate the ZenSeat system in real-world care settings and explore its potential to improve efficiency, comfort, and preventive care.
