Mode Sensors AS develops innovative wearable technologies for health monitoring. Its flagship product, Re:Balans, is a smart sensor designed to help prevent dehydration and related complications such as falls, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and constipation—common risks among older adults. The discreet wearable device measures hydration levels continuously and connects via Bluetooth to an IoT gateway, which securely transmits data to a patient dashboard app. Healthcare professionals can remotely access and monitor key parameters such as hydration, skin temperature, physical activity, and body orientation, providing a comprehensive and real-time overview of each patient’s condition. Through the ACE project, Mode Sensors AS will pilot Re:Balans in Vesthimmerland Municipality, Denmark, to explore how data-driven hydration monitoring can improve preventive care, reduce hospitalisations, and enhance quality of life for elderly citizens.
