The ANCHOR event in Kerkrade made one thing clear: seeing source-separated systems in practice is key to understanding their value. To extend that experience beyond the site visit itself, ANCHOR now offers an immersive 360° virtual tour of the Superlocal demo site.

Developed by the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar within the ANCHOR project, the virtual tour guides visitors through the Superlocal neighbourhood using 25 interconnected 360° images. Step by step, the tour explains the vision behind Superlocal and shows how circularity is applied in everyday urban life.
Visitors can explore how rainwater, greywater, and blackwater are managed locally within an optimized water cycle, how drinking water use is reduced, and how valuable resources are recovered from wastewater. By combining spatial context with clear explanations, the tour makes complex system choices tangible—whether you are a policymaker, operator, researcher, or simply curious about sustainable urban water management.
The Superlocal 360° virtual tour is designed as a learning tool: a way to revisit the insights shared during the Kerkrade event, to support knowledge exchange across regions, and to inspire new initiatives across the North Sea area.
