Within our project we explore integrated soil and water management to bolster the region amid global warming. The aim is to protect the groundwater and prevent desiccation and saltwater intrusion in farmlands. In a series of videos we introduce what our pilots have acclompished and learned.

On the 19th of May we will have our policy Day in Brussels where we will share insights and experiences which we collected from the work in the different pilot areas.

Blue Transition is a project within the Interreg North Sea Region programme that aims to bring about systematic change, a “blue transition”, through integrated water and soil management. In 16 pilots we develop strategies for systematic changes. But what have learned? Come check it out on our policy day on the 19th of May!

In the upcoming weeks we will share some videos from the different pilot areas. In our first video below you can see how German scientists are teaming up to do just that in the Luneplate area near Bremerhaven.

This is one of the 16 pilots in Blue Transition which aims to Balanced water and land use to minimize the effect of climate change on groundwater and soil.

This is one example of how transnational projects deliver tangible benefits on the ground, and solutions ready to be scaled and replicated elsewhere. Blue Transition is running 16 pilots in six countries, exploring a range of aspects. Stay tuned for more pilot project videos!
