Fraunhofer IFAM continues engaging local stakeholders to discuss flight operations over the German Bight
On 4th November at Fraunhofer IFAM, the AAM NW initiative brought together key stakeholders to share lessons learned from flight operations, discuss innovative solutions, and strengthen networking during the workshop »AAM Nordwest Deutschland und Deutsche Bucht«. The common goal with DIOL: enabling sustainable and efficient Unmanned Aircraft Systems/drone operations over the German Bight and North Sea.
Next year, after the first DIOL Cuxhafen-Helgoland long-distance drone flight test, further DIOL pilot flights will take place (in June between Cuxhafen and Esbjerg), continuing the project´s efforts to integrate UAS logistics into offshore supply chains. Open communication and collaboration beyond project boundaries remain essential for success.
