Welcome to "Data from the Field"— our latest MoLo Hubs news series. We go behind the scenes of our five pilot regions to discover the latest user data, success stories and insights.
Pilot: Borås | Partner: City of Borås
The pilot of our project partner in Borås has exceeded expectations in its first months of operation. Recent data not only demonstrates high public acceptance but also highlights the significant potential for scaling urban logistics and circular economy solutions.
Since its opening, the hub has established itself as a central point for citizens and businesses alike. The results from the initial operating phase are consistently positive:
- High Visitor Traffic: Over 3,500 visitors were welcomed to the hub by December 3rd
- Active Circular Economy: Almost 2,000 items were circulated during the first two months of operation, emphasizing the hub's role in local sustainability
- Logistics Integration: The hub is already being utilized by four different transport companies.
- Digital Adoption: Over 100 users registered for the parcel locker services within the first two months.
A Success for the Community
Beyond the hard numbers, feedback from stakeholders has been excellent. The concept has been very well received among both visitors and real estate owners.
A crucial factor in this success has been the dedicated staff, whose work has been essential for the hub's smooth operation.
Looking Ahead: Scaling the Concept
The long-term goal is now to transition the hub into a permanent solution. Based on the positive response, plans are being discussed to expand the concept to additional central locations to further transform urban logistics and the local circular economy.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to move forward with our MoLo Hubs pilots!
