Hands on Insights into MoLo Hubs Projects' Daily Operations in Aalborg - At the beginning of August, Martin Quintero Hansen, Project Manager at Aalborg Municipality, joined Stefan Juul Christensen from Huset Venture Nordjylland on a tour to gain a deeper understanding of the practical workflows involved in servicing the Baseboxes used by Aalborg Municipality, Nordværk, and Homerunner as part of the MoLo Project.
It was an exciting and educational experience, giving hands-on insight into the service time per box and the entire process – from transportation and opening of boxes to waste weighing, restocking with bags, registration, and cleaning.
It’s clear that many different services can be efficiently carried out at the same location - without necessarily involving multiple actors. This gives food for thought regarding future organization and collaboration.
The tour clearly demonstrated that the boxes are being used efficiently. Even though FleXrunner had to perform up to four services per location, each stop only took 5–10 minutes, highlighting operational effectiveness. By consolidating multiple tasks into a single route, the number of trips is significantly reduced - saving time and lowering CO₂ emissions.
