The MoLo Hubs project has published its report analysing how people-centric mobility and logistics hubs align with cities’ strategic mobility planning frameworks.

Drawing on five pilot regions (Aalborg, Amsterdam, Borås, Hamburg, and Mechelen), the report explores how the mobility transition goals pursued through the MoLo Hubs pilots connect to Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) and SUMP-like strategies. It examines whether existing policy frameworks are sufficiently mature to support, integrate, and scale mobility and logistics hub solutions beyond the pilot phase.

Using a qualitative assessment approach, the report links pilot-level ambitions to project cross-cutting topics, Sustainable Urban Mobility Indicators (SUMI), and practical, replicable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Rather than bench marking performance, the analysis focuses on policy alignment, innovation readiness, and liveability, offering cities a structured reference for embedding mobility and logistics hubs within long-term planning.

The report provides practical insights for cities and regions seeking to develop integrated, people-centred mobility and logistics hubs as part of their sustainable urban mobility transition.
