Brimanti de Bruin from Fairphone shared their bold approach to sustainability in electronics, and showcased how ambitious sustainability targets and commercial strategy can strengthen each other.
🔋 Innovation on-site
Thanks to Maarten Quist from GIGA Storage, our OASIS group made a stop at the Giraffe project - a cutting-edge 47MWh LFP battery energy storage system installed within the Port of Amsterdam, still to be commissioned. This unique insight provided an opportunity to discuss the genesis and implementation of the project, while also benefiting from Giga Storage's perspectives on integrating novel storage technologies.
⚓ Smart port electrification
With a warm welcome from Allard Klinkers, Port of Amsterdam, the group learned about the sustainability strategy of the port and how storage could play a role. The OASIS group then explored the Smart Energy Hub and learned how charging infrastructure is reshaping the port’s future.
