First Pressure Cooker Event

The first Pressure Cooker Event, as part of the Support Calls in the OASIS Accelerator Programme took place at DMEC Hub in Scheveningen, The Hague, The Netherlands.

Keynote Speech

Brimanti de Bruin from Fairphone shared their bold approach to sustainability in electronics, and showcased how ambitious sustainability targets and commercial strategy can strengthen each other.

Site Visits

The participants and trainers went to the Port of Amsterdam to visit GIGA Storage's Giraffe project - a cutting-edge 47MWh LFP battery energy storage system installed within the Port of Amsterdam, still to be commissioned. This unique insight provided an opportunity to discuss the genesis and implementation of the project, while also benefiting from Giga Storage's perspectives on integrating novel storage technologies. The group also met with Allard Klinkers from the Port of Amsterdam and learned about the sustainability strategy of the port and how storage could play a role. The OASIS group then explored the Smart Energy Hub and learned how charging infrastructure is reshaping the port’s future.

Training

The participants received trainings related to the technical, commercial, and sustainability aspects of their innovations. Each of the trainings were delivered by trainers from the OASIS partnership. All SMEs were also given the opportunity to work on their businesses via the workshops held in the training sessions.

Pitching

On the last day, the participant pitched their value propositions to the Advisory Board members and received invaluable feedback on business potential and pitch strategies.
