REDII Ports closing conference on 25-26 February 2026

Port of Skagen invites you to the Interreg North Sea Program project REDII Ports´s final conference taking place on 25 and 26 February 2026 in Skagen, Denmark.

How to implement new regulations in small and medium sized ports, shipyards, ships and shipping-lines?
How to find the appropriate and cost-e􀆯ective solution for each of these maritime actors?
These are the core questions that the RED II ports project has been developing, testing and installing to reduce carbon emission.

Date: 25/02/2026 12:00pm - 26/02/2026 4:00pm

Why should you participate?
Decarbonization of shipping and ports is a major challenge and opportunity for all the operators in the maritime world. Both the IMO and the EU have imposed strategies and regulations to reduce the level of Greenhouse Gases in the maritime sector. These measures have a major impact on both port and vessel operations. But every port is different; every vessel is different; every ship engine is different. There are no standard or uniform solutions that fit all! In the REDII Ports project 6 ports, 2 maritime regions managing approx. 40 ports, four Small-Medium sized Enterprises, three knowledge and research centers have been together in a 3,5 year cooperation developing, testing and installing 17 systems that contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions.
