Conference SDMH 2 April 2025

This event, organized as part of ShareDiMobiHub, aiming at bringing together leading European experts, policymakers, and mobility providers to discuss the role of shared mobility in regional and suburban areas. Participants will gain insights from pioneering pilots across the North Sea Region and contribute to the development of a regional strategy for expanding shared mobility.

Expert contributions from ShareDiMobiHub

The conference will feature speakers from the ShareDiMobiHub consortium who have been directly involved in shared mobility pilots across Europe:

  • Jelten Baguet (Mpact) and Bram Seeuws (Way To Go) will present key findings from Flanders, where integrated mobility hubs are shaping new mobility behaviours.
  • Wouter Slob (Province of Utrecht) will provide insights into the Regional Shared Bike System in Utrecht, a model for integrating shared bicycles with public transport.
  • Bram Nieuwstraten (Vervoerregio Amsterdam - Transport Authority for the Amsterdam Region) will share Amsterdam’s approach to embedding shared mobility into the regional transport system.
  • Romèo Arianna (Capital Region of Denmark) and Katrine Vestergaard Petersen (Rudersdal Municipality) will discuss Danish pilot projects, including mobility hubs in suburban contexts and shared bikes along the light rail corridor.

Shaping a regional shared mobility strategy

A central focus of the event will be the presentation and discussion of a regional strategy for expanding shared mobility, led by Kia Madsen and Søren Bom (Capital Region of Denmark). Participants will have the opportunity to provide direct input into future policy directions and learn from the latest pilot project results.

The conference will conclude with a field visit to Nærum Station, showcasing a real-world example of shared mobility integration in a suburban setting.
