Within the SMALL project, the Brest Métropole pilot has been focusing on upscaling its on-demand transport service by bicycle-tricycle Vélo&Co. Check out their new promotional video, introducing viewers to Vélo&Co and how it is aiming to become a more professionally-centred mobility service.

Way to go, Brest Métropole! Within the SMALL project, the city has been focusing on upscaling its Vélo&Co service, implemented in the city's centre since 2022 by the local association Brest à Pied et à Vélo  (Bapav - Brest by foot and by bike). However, it has been since 2001 that Bapav has been promoting active mobility in the city of Brest. Their aim? To share their conviction that cycling and walking can respond to social, environmental, economic, and health challenges.

Vélo&Co is an on-demand transport service by bicycle-tricycle. It is free and intended for people over 60 years of age or with disabilities who may have difficulty meeting everyday needs such as medical appointments. The service consists of picking up users from their homes to make the trips and bringing them back.

They have recently unveiled a promotional video introducing their service, explaining the concept and sharing testimonials from volunteer riders. Check out the video here.

And for more information on Vélo&Co, make sure to check out Bapav's official website here.

Stay tuned for further updates from this exciting pilot!
