After a year and a half of Speak Up, we published a mid-project report. In it, we compiled insights from our twelve partners to assemble what we’ve learned. We also provide a clear overview of the challenges we’ve faced when engaging in participation and explain how we overcame those challenges. Most importantly, our 12 partners come from 6 different countries: the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. All of these countries are working on different aspects of participation with different goals for the future. Denmark and Sweden, for example, focus primarily on becoming climate-neutral or more climate aware. This means that the insights our partners have shared are incredibly diverse, but also flexible! Despite the differences though, there are also a lot of similarities. Specifically, all of our partners encountered eight of the same challenges. In the report, we describe them in depth, as well as how we overcame them.
