Reflections by Yigal Levin

At this year's STORM_SAFE Annual Meeting in Eindhoven, collaboration, shared learning, and cross-border exchange were at the forefront. With partners from research institutes and infrastructure authorities gathered in one place, the meeting provided a reminder of the importance of collaborating across disciplines and borders.

Strengthening our foundation through joint learning
Throughout the sessions, we examined how joint pilots, shared modelling approaches and structured knowledge exchange continue to enhance our collective comprehension of digital resilience in critical water infrastructure. By connecting research insights, operational experience and policy perspectives, STORM_SAFE is increasingly able to translate knowledge into actionable strategies.

Looking ahead: building toward 2026
Looking ahead to 2026, the meeting highlighted the clear progress achieved in 2025 and our collective drive to achieve even more in the coming years. With a continued focus on collaboration, integration and knowledge sharing, STORM_SAFE is well positioned to deliver meaningful impact across the North Sea Region.

A heartfelt thank you
I would like to thank all STORM_SAFE partners for their energy, commitment, and openness throughout the year. I wish you all a happy holiday season and a safe and healthy start to the New Year.
