SSCH in Fælledby
Fælledby, a new 220.000 square meter Copenhagen neighborhood, is developing a Super Smart Charging Hub (SSCH) as part of their ambition to create a climate-conscious and energy-efficient urban district. The SSCH in Fælledby will integrate Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, enabling electric vehicles to both charge and return energy to the grid, helping to stabilize energy consumption and reduce peak loads.
The project includes decentralized energy production with solar panels on all building roofs, battery storage, and smart energy sharing, creating a Local Energy Community (CEC) where residents can benefit from optimized energy use. The SSCH will also feature AI-driven mobility solutions, including a supersmart charging hub, real-time energy monitoring, and integration of dynamic street lighting to balance energy efficiency with urban functionality and biodiversity.
Developed in collaboration with key technology partners, the SSCH in Fælledby will serve as a testbed for innovative governance structures, ensuring an inclusive and efficient energy management system. By combining sustainable transport, intelligent infrastructure, and cutting-edge digital solutions, Fælledby’s SSCH will set a new standard for smart urban development.
