BBoBB Webinar IV : Biobased Binders

On 12 December 2025, we hosted the 4th BBoBB webinar focusing on bio-based binders for sustainable construction.

The webinar explored the growing potential of lignin and used vegetable oil waste as sustainable alternatives in construction. Key topics included why lignin matters, how it can be combined with other bio-based building materials, and its application in construction — particularly as a bio-based asphalt compound. Design considerations, promising research results, and insights into the emerging market importance, market share, and unique advantages of lignin were also discussed.
