Exploring the full potential of flax for bio-based building.
During our last BBoBB webinar, participants were invited to dive into the world of flax, a crop with deep historical roots and growing relevance for the future of sustainable construction and design.
Although flax is globally recognised for its use in the textile industry, the webinar highlighted how the entire plant including its high-value residues, can be transformed into healthy, sustainable building materials and interior solutions. Speakers guided participants through the life cycle of flax, its technical and ecological properties, and the latest cultivation and market trends in Europe and beyond.
The session stood out for its high level of interaction. Thanks to the contributions of our speakers and the active engagement of participants, interregional cooperation naturally emerged. Attendees also shared actively experiences and contributed to discussion.
This webinar is part of a broader and memorable BBoBB webinar series, we are exploring and prepering follow-up activities.
