The Orchestrator’s Challenge

This education tool is a hands-on simulation developed to train future orchestrators in managing bio-based construction value chains. Participants take on the role of a neutral coordinator who connects stakeholders to build a sustainable and resilient value chain.

Across four interactive rounds, players negotiate, respond to disruptions, and balance economic and environmental objectives. The simulation strengthens collaboration, systems thinking, and strategic decision-making. It provides practical insight into real-world dynamics such as supply, demand, and policy influence.

The tool was recently tested in an online session and is currently being further developed. Our ambition is to support the next generation of professionals in accelerating circular construction and bio-based innovation.
