The Manifesto will be the flagship publication of the CEO project, highlighting the project’s tools, pilots, and insights on circular office-furniture systems. To paint a fuller picture of the transition already underway, we’re opening a limited number of pages to external companies whose experiences can complement and enrich the CEO narrative.
Who can express interest?
Office-furniture manufacturers, refurbishers, retailers, repair or asset-management specialists, recyclers, and service providers that:
- Operate in at least one Interreg North Sea country (Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden); and
- Are willing to complete the CEO Circular Maturity Index (CMI) self-assessment by 15 September 2025.
What you’ll gain
- Visibility in an international, professionally edited publication aimed at buyers, procurers, policymakers, and media.
- A concise case story (ca. 1 page) with graphics, fully reusable under Creative Commons.
How to take part
- Submit an Expression of Interest (EoI) via the online form no later than 31 August 2025, 23:59 CET.
- We’ll email your personal CMI link; complete it by 15 September 2025.
- Upload a short motivation (≤ 400 words) and at least three high-resolution images illustrating your circular practice(s).
- Selected companies will be notified by 31 October 2025.
Selection approach
We plan to feature about 20 companies. If valid EoIs exceed the available slots, we will apply the following transparent, layered criteria to keep numbers manageable while giving everyone a fair chance:
Layer | Criterion | Purpose | Method |
Essential | 1. On-time EoI + full CMI submission | Ensures comparability | Pass/Fail |
Portfolio balance | 2a. Country spread 2b. Value-chain role 2c. Company size (micro/SME/large) | Avoids over-representation; enriches content | Minimum/maximum targets per category |
Story value | 3. Clear, verifiable circular activity (e.g. remanufacturing line, take-back scheme, product-as-a-service pilot) | Produces compelling, instructive case studies | Qualitative score (0–5) by independent reviewers |
Engagement | 4. Willingness to share data and provide imagery | Ensures depth and dissemination | Yes/No |
Tie-breaker | 5. Random draw overseen by the project secretariat | Keeps final choice impartial | Draw |
The CMI score itself is not a ranking factor; it merely frames varied narratives (e.g. “early-stage explorer” vs “front-runner”).
