Round Table in Bremerhaven, Germany

A round table was held in Bremerhaven, Germany, on 7 May 2024. 

Researcher from the Alfred-Wegener-Institute invited stakeholders from environmental authorities, nature conversation organizations and regional waste management companies to a dialogue on the construction of traps for the Chinese mitten crab in Bremerhaven.

The aim was to exchange information on the impact of the Chinese mitten crab on European river systems and to find locations for future traps. To this end, the prototype trap was presented and some crabs were inspected.
