We were delighted to welcome Esther Horvath, the Alfred Wegener Institute's award-winning photograhper, to visit our trap-building activities at the Weser weir in Bremen, Germany.
Esther is internationally known for her captivating images of the Arctic and her ability to shed light on the work of scientists operating in some of the most extreme environments on Earth. With her camera, she creates visual impressions that make scientific work more accessible.
She came to Bremen to observe and document our work - capturing moments of our building activities and the work with the Chinese mitten crab. We were pleased to have her at the trap site and are curious to see how her photos will help us to visualize and disseminate our work - bringing science closer to a wider audience through her camera.
