In the coming year, Cool Cities will present its work at several (international) events. Curious where you might run into us in 2026? Here is an overview of key events already on our radar.

Scheduled events

11 February – From Plans to Practice: Building Local Heat Resilience
Webinar where municipalities and regional actors share how Heat and Health Action Plans are translated into concrete local measures such as cool spots and climate-adaptive routes. Participants gain practical insights and inspiration to strengthen local heat resilience. Learn more.

12 March – Joint Midterm Event in Middelburg
Partners of Cool Cities and Cool Neighbourhoods meet to exchange progress, lessons learned and future ambitions. The event is open for public and connects regional initiatives focused on climate adaptation and livable neighbourhoods. Learn more.

14 – 16 April – AMS Scientific Conference 2026
An international conference with 500+ participants exploring pressing urban challenges through keynotes, workshops and discussions. Cool Cities partners present their work to scientists, policymakers and practitioners. Learn more.

16 April – Esri Connect in Utrecht
Our partner Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences showcases how ArcGIS StoryMaps support climate adaptation planning within Cool Cities. The session demonstrates how geospatial data on heat stress and mobility becomes clear spatial storytelling.Learn more.

Educational sessions

Cool Cities is inviting cities across Europe to participate as follower cities. Discover how your city can contribute to cooler and more sustainable urban environments. Join European and national sessions to learn best practices and exchange experiences with other cities. You can find more info soon on our website.

EU Green Week
This event, focused on nature and the environment, normally happens in the beginning of June. Visit the event website
