Dear colleague at a municipality or regional government,
We would like to cordially invite you to become a Peer of the Interreg North Sea project Green Team. Does your local government want to learn how to integrally and (cost-)efficiently design and maintain future-proof public spaces? Then keep reading!
First, Green Team in short
Many municipalities are missing the framework to tackle (climate) challenges efficiently and integrally. This leads to missed opportunities or expensive solutions. That’s a shame! But how do you design and maintain public spaces in a future-proof way? The Green Team project bundles tools and good practices and transforms them to one practical process description that every organisation can work with. We do so in three ways:
By improving integral and cross-departmental collaboration within an organisation, by structurally bringing together experts from different departments in ‘green teams’;
By developing greenblue investment and budget plans for municipalities. By structurally taking green-blue measures into account and exploiting linking opportunities, future-proof design and maintenance need not cost more money or time;
By stimulating knowledge sharing and including professionals outside governments. This way, we bridge the gap between know-how and expectations between governments and companies.

A Green Team workshop in Putte
Being a Peer - What's in it for you?
As a Peer, you receive:
- Exclusive access to our events, workshops and materials otherwise only meant for project partners;
- A practical approach so your organization can immediately benefit from our project. We ask you to bring a concrete pilot project to the sessions, about which more info will follow at the start;
- Maximum support and guidance from our partners;
- The unique chance to learn from us and similar municipalities, ánd to inspire everyone with your experience and expertise;
- The possibility to ensure the methods truly suit your needs, as we will incorporate your feedback.
The programme will consist of 7 (online) sessions, starting in September 2025 and finishing in June 2027. We will kick off with a short survey to assess your needs and wishes, to ensure the program truly meets your expectations.
More information about the content of the sessions will follow after registration. But if you want a sneak peek, check out our climate adaptive funnel, with which you can convince different policy domains to invest in climate adaptation. Or look forward to our interactive tool to identify your stakeholders. And the method to set up your own ‘green team’. Already curious? Read the testimonial of the municipality of Putte here!
What do we expect from you?
Of course, we want you to get the most out of your participation. Moreover, your involvement helps us improve our products even further. That’s why we apply a number of conditions:
- A Peer is a municipality or regional government;
It is possible to assign at least one staff member to act as the main point of contact for communication and participation;
It is possible to attend at least four contact moments, events, or workshops during the course of the project (until June 2027);
Participating in English is not an issue (although assignments can often be done in your native language);
There is an intention to start working on setting up a Green Team during and/or after participation, and to make use of the shared materials.
How to sign up
Could you please let us know as soon as possible whether you are interested? You can do so by registering via the button below before the 30th of June 2025.
