Last week, H2Ignite participated in the German-Danish Green Hydrogen Forum kick-off in Berlin — an event hosted by the German-Danish Chamber of Commerce, bringing together key stakeholders from Denmark and Germany to accelerate cross-border hydrogen cooperation.

With strong political backing from both the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the discussions centred on the urgency of building a joint hydrogen infrastructure — or in the words of Green Power Denmark’s CEO Kristian Jensen: “Build baby, build!”

Representing H2Ignite, Project Manager Julie Jo Nygaard joined the event alongside Sebastian Wirth from Europa-Universität Flensburg, a close partner of H2ignite. Together, they engaged in discussions and took key learning on the different projects also working with turining political ambition into practical cross-border projects for hydrogen — from infrastructure development to regional initiatives like the hydrogen valley presented by Hanne Klintøe from Aabenraa Kommune.
