MegaBITS took part in Eurobike 2025, held in Frankfurt from 25 to 29 June. The event is the central platform for the bike and ecomobility world, shaping the transformation of the bicycle from a leisure and sport device into a central foundation of sustainable future mobility.
The MegaBITS project was featured at Cycling Industries Europe’s booth, one of its partners. This presence provided an excellent opportunity to promote the project’s work in smart cycling, connect with a broad range of attendees, and showcase its implementations.
A key moment for MegaBITS during the event was the session “Smarter Cities, Safer Cities: Intelligent Means of Transport for Traffic Safety.” Here, the European Roadmap for Smart Cycling, the project’s latest deliverable developed with the Meridian project, was presented by Stephanie Kleine, Senior Advisor for autonomous and connected mobility, ITS, and European cooperation at the Ministry for Environment, Nature and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Kleine’s presentation set the tone for a panel discussion with representatives from industry, politics, and the public sector on how smart cycling solutions can enhance traffic safety.
A walk through the fair’s halls, filled with smart cycling innovations, leaves no doubt that connected cycling is a central pillar pillar of the industry's future.
