During the conference session “Riding the Future: Cycling Innovation Transforming Urban Mobility", Robin Kleine presented key insights into the role of cycling-focused ITS in transforming urban mobility. Drawing on experiences from over 50 implemented cycling ITS and data projects, Robin provided concrete examples of how technology and data can make cycling safer, more comfortable, and more attractive for everyday journeys - a cornerstone of the MegaBITS mission. The presentation covered an array of innovations, to illustrate how ITS tools can fill gaps in traditional cycling policy by offering real-time data, automated insights, and adaptive traffic management.

Alongside the talk, MegaBITS hosted a booth on the POLIS Conference exhibition floor, where attendees could explore the project’s ambitions and results up close. The stand became a hub for dialogue with city planners, technical experts, policymakers, and practitioners interested in integrating smart cycling technologies into their own transport strategies.
