From 4 to 6 November, the Smart City Expo 2025 took place in Barcelona. MegaBITS was represented at the event by Wim Dijkstra, the Strategic Advisor of the project, who contributed to an EIT Urban Mobility session dedicated to data-driven approaches for road safety.
During the session, Wim presented the BITS and MegaBITS projects, highlighting their role in the adoption of smart cycling safety solutions across the North Sea Region.
The session brought together a diverse group of participants working on various aspects of smart cycling.
Moderated by Willem Frederik Metzelaar (EIT Urban Mobility), it attracted an engaged audience and provided opportunities for knowledge exchange among participants, exploring how diverse data-driven approaches can inform smarter infrastructure and enhance traffic safety for all road users.
