Neighborhood-based approach

The IGEMO pilot project follows a neighborhood-based approach. In collaboration with a selected neighborhood, sustainable mobility solutions are implemented over a defined test period of three
months, focusing on shared mobility options such as car sharing and bike sharing: electric cargo bikes, e-bikes, and conventional bicycles. Through a bottom-up process, the neighborhood itself identifies its needs, and residents can easily access the selected modes during the test phase. This allows them to experience new  forms of mobility while simultaneously building support within the municipality to consider permanent implementation if the neighborhood response is positive. The cycle then continues in a new neighborhood.
