The E-Campus Approach

The NESSIE E-Campus model is a blended learning hub that combines physical training spaces, a shared digital learning environment, and real-world knowledge from local energy projects into one integrated system. Each lighthouse region develops its own E-Campus, aligned with local needs, while contributing to a wider North Sea network of skills development. Together, these elements create a modern, flexible, and practice-oriented pathway for training the next generation of energy-transition installers.

The Pillars of NESSIE

NESSIE aims to acquire more staff and accelerate knowledge transfer to professionals by:

Short Advanced Courses (SACs)

Developing curricula to accelerate renewable energy education through short, replicable courses attractive to vocational students.

Targeted Recruitment

Inclusive campaigns to grow the student base by attracting diverse graduates and career switchers to the energy sector.

Learning by Doing

Over 1,000 new certified energy professionals trained via hands-on, practical experience in real-world transition projects.

International Collaboration

Sharing best practices between North Sea Regions while influencing national and EU-level policies for vocational training.
