The SETAC - Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry is Europe’s biggest science conference addressing environmental toxicological aspects on land and in aquatic ecosystems and took place from the 5th - 9th of May, 2024.
Within the session of Legacy of War: Environmental Contamination, Ecotoxicity and Human Health Concerns of Explosives and Chemical Warfare Agents chaired by Dr. Guillermo Lotufo and Prof. Dr. Edmund Maser, both either member of the Advisory Board or project partner of REMARCO, AWI, VLIZ in cooperation with UKSH presented their latest works regarding munition effects on mussels, fish and microbial communities. Within the well- attended session and the corresponding poster sessions, many conferences attendances expressed their growing interest in the topic of marine munitions.
