SPIES

On June 27, 2025, the SPIES project came to an end. From January 2024 to June 2025, the Interreg North Sea project Shore Power in European Shipping (SPIES) worked on a policy advisory plan for the rollout of a shore power network with improved open and uniform access for European skippers.

Through collaboration between partners from Flanders, the Netherlands, France, and Denmark, and with input from a wide range of stakeholders, a set of recommendations was developed and grouped into 15 clusters to support a coordinated and future-proof shore power strategy.
