The project partners proudly presented the Policy Recommendation Plan to Mr. Muhammed Elemenler (European Commission – DG MOVE) and Mr. Mohisinne El Kahloun (Flemish Government, Department of Mobility and Public Works, Ports and Water Policy). Both organisations play an important role in the further roll-out of shore-based power in Europe on the one hand and Flanders on the other.
The report is very valuable to DG MOVE and will therefore be viewed and used, said Mr. Elemenler. It provides DG MOVE with the necessary background to continue working on the use of shore-based power in inland navigation. For the Flemish government, too, the document forms a basis for a further structured approach to shore-based power along the Flemish canals.
