In Mechelen, near the River Dijle in the Nekkerspoel district, lies the beautiful nineteenth-century castle estate De Borght. After fifty years of vacancy, both the castle and the surrounding park are being restored to their former glory. The building will be heated using aquathermal energy from the water in the moat.
