Evening Greenport

The evening was opened by Rien Hoogendoorn on behalf of Greenport Boskoop. This was followed by a welcome from René van Tol, manager of the Delphy team for tree cultivation and perennial crops. Rene provided an overview of the current research site, which covers 2.7 hectares. Research at this location is carried out on behalf of groups of growers, manufacturers, government agencies, water authorities, and others. In addition, Delphy collaborates in both national and international projects.

Arie Schipper from Delphy guided the participants on a tour of the site and discussed the status of various ongoing trials. These included the “wAardewerk” project, a phosphate filtration system, nitrogen trials on sandy soils, and multiple experiments involving biostimulants. Special attention was given to the peat-free trials conducted under the Interreg project CloseCycle.
