Natuurpunt will collaborate with the city of Mechelen to find solutions for our nature management residues in the area, in conjunction with the residues from the parks and open spaces department. Both partners are seeking a logistical area, and we will inventory the available residue streams that can be utilized. Our goal is to create compost that the municipality can use for planting projects. This initiative can serve as a first step in a broader effort for the city, which needs to address household waste solutions within the next few years.
