Workpackage 4 of the CLOSECYCLE project aims at demonstrating benefits and removing barriers for public and private producers of consumer products (foods, feed, ornamentals, materials, energy) using residue-based biorefinery products from Territorial Biorefinery Networks (TBNs). This part of the project aims to inspire TBNs and to inform on solutions, benefits and how to overcome barriers to close cycles with biorefinery products. Primary audiences are producers of consumer end-products (food crop growers, breeders, consuming industries, material and energy producers). Secondary audiences are knowledge users (regional and transregional private and public consultants, authorities, policy makers, scientists) and the wider public including private organisations and NGOs.
The extensive knowledge on processes, products and their uses is extracted and condensed for an applied context to support product manufacturers and users, consultants and authorities in implementing TBNs or parts thereof. The information from the reports is translated into a practical guide with manuals and fact sheets, also in form of presentations to inform stakeholders. Showcase experiences (WP3) are used to explain practical examples.
