Leiedal could not miss this opportunity and presented its latest pilot project TRAFFIC <OF> DATA. As part of the Interreg North project Data for All, Leiedal aims at collecting and unlocking the potential of all mobility-related data. These data will be part of the regional data platform "Leiedal Data-as-a-Service" (LDAAS). To achieve this ambitious goal, Leiedal is working with the City of Kortrijk and VIVES University of Applied Sciences.

Traffic data

Data on the different modes of transport are essential to support policymaking and take appropriate measures. To work data-driven, the Dtaa for All partners collect, aggregate, visualize and integrate data sources. By analyzing and combining this data, they can gain better insights into mobility in Kortrijk and the region.

Data traffic

By exchanging data between multiple levels of government and making it accessible through user-friendly visualisation and analysis tools, all authorities and services can work with the same data. In this way, a number of mobility questions can already be answered when preparing policy decisions. Moreover, good data are valuable in the context of transparent communication with citizens, companies and other stakeholders about mobility policy and the impact of the decisions taken.

DAAS will thus grow into a vertical data exchange platform between regional and municipal governments, but also with higher levels of government. In addition, practical use cases related to data-driven mobility in Kortrijk will be extensively tested and then applied in other municipalities in the South-West Flanders region.

The end result: data-driven service solutions in which the citizen is central and a lot of shared knowledge and experience.

Stay tuned as Data for All parters pursue their data journey!
