As part of work package four we have produced a short, animated film to suit younger children and families. The goal with this film is to encourage educators together with children but also families to sow a native wildflower patch in their preschool grounds, school yards or in their private gardens.

The wildflower patch can help increase biodiversity in built up areas and  increase plant awareness as well as being a place for learning and enjoyment.  The film will be used in school programs encouraging the use of wildflower areas as authentic hands-on learning environments where all the senses can be activated. Giving children agency by showing that their efforts make a difference.  The film may also be used in campaigns to urge homeowners to replace shortly mown lawns turning them into beautiful biodiverse habitats.

Watch the film right here on our web, or follow the link and download it.
