On Thursday 11 December 2025, the second demonstration day took place at the Viaverda research centre in Destelbergen. This time, the focus was on harvesting seeds from 15 native plant species. The event was part of the Expbio Interreg project.
 

The demo day not only offered participants knowledge and practical examples on how to start growing native seeds, but also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and challenges. The discussion confirmed that interest in the production and use of native seeds continues to grow and that cooperation is crucial to achieving a robust native seed chain in Flanders.
