Location
Near the municipal health care centre in Hjørring city and near the new retirement home, Soldalhus, Sindal.
Work planned/methods tested
At the health centre 8 plots of 10m *10m has since spring 2025 been managed different. At 6 plots the grass turf is removed, on two of these hay from species rich grassland is inoculated and turf from same grassland will be inoculated primo 2026 on two plots. Half of the demos will be harvested before 1st of June. At Soldalhus there will be inoculation of hay and turf and harvest at 6 plots . The composition of the soil at the two plots has been examined – plant nutrients and pH.

Aim of work
To see which nature management method results in the highest plant biodiversity at the two areas.
Status right now
We have set up all the plots, but have not inoculated the turf yet, as there is too much snow. The plants have been monitored using the Tansley scale in juli 2025 and in 2024 just making a plant list.
