Cross-Regional Community Development and Cross-Sectoral Collaboration
In this Presentation & Talk, Mr. Āris Ādlers will provide practical insight into the Interreg Estonia – Latvia project ‘Building Stronger River Networks: Empowering Rural Communities through Joint Action’. The project aims to address common cross-border challenges related to the management and utilisation of rivers crossing the communities within the program area. Local governments, local action groups (LAGs), and the wider community jointly work on cross-border pilot actions for a better use of river networks as natural resources, touristic potential and heritage.
Āris Ādlers has more than 15 years of experience in project work and organisations management. His main areas of expertise cover civil society engagement, local development projects, public participation processes, campaigning and advocacy projects. In addition, he provides training on community and business development issues for community animators, members of partnerships, local development and local action groups facilitators.
