This online session features presentations from master’s students at University West, who contribute to the SIRR project through their research on sustainable rural development. Their work explores socioeconomic conditions, hub management, and factors influencing the attractiveness of rural and coastal communities in the North Sea Region.
1. Part-time Housing – Attractiveness and Motives for Moving
A qualitative study exploring what motivates part-time residents to settle permanently in rural areas, based on in-depth interviews.
2. Socio-economic Comparison
An analysis of socioeconomic data from the Sotenäs Pilot Hub compared with neighboring municipalities in Sweden.
3. Part-time Housing – International Rural Challenges
A literature study examining part-time housing challenges in coastal and rural areas across France, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden.
4. Organisation and Management of SIRR Hubs
An analysis of internal structures and management models within the SIRR Hubs to strengthen innovation and collaboration.
