Valuable and inspiring days on Læsø, Denmark, together with partners within SIRR
This year’s Annual Partnership Conference took place on Læsø, where we had the opportunity to experience the local economy in practice - from tourism to processing industries. We also gained insight into the island’s efforts to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as its unique seagrass houses and the traditional salt production that continues to this day.
What stood out in particular was the exceptional local commitment - to the community, to the sea, and to its resources. The meetings and discussions demonstrated how strong local knowledge, tradition, and innovation can come together to create sustainable development in a very tangible way.
A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all participants from the various local hubs across Europe - your engagement and the valuable exchange between us strengthen the work ahead.
Now, the work continues in our local communities, with renewed inspiration and energy.
