On June 25th, the North Sea Conference brought people together in Oldenburg to share ideas and celebrate great projects from across the North Sea Region.

North Sea Conference 2025
The day started with a plenary session with inputs from the perspectives of the North Sea projects, the CPMR North Sea Commission, North Sea Programme and academia. After these informative sessions about the impact of North Sea projects “Resilient Regions Leading the Way” and “Resilience brought to you by Interreg”, it was time for a very special moment: the North Sea Video & Photo Awards.
Here we were thrilled to hear that our Danish TREASURE partner Lemvig Vand was awarded in the category ‘Citizen Engagement’ for the creative wooden drifter campaign, a fantastic recognition of their work! This award was a proud moment for all of us in the TREASURE project and a happy reminder of what we can achieve when we work together.
The afternoon was devoted to eight exciting study visits in Lower Saxony and Bremen. We had the opportunity to present TREASURE to a keen group of peers during our visit to the UNESCO-World Heritage Wadden Sea Visitor Centre in Wilhelmshaven.
The North Sea Conference was a huge success for the TREASURE project.
