On 5 February 2026, the French Federation of Precast Concrete Industries (FIB) and CERIB will host a breakfast seminar in Caen focusing on the evolution of the EN206 concrete standard and its role in supporting low-carbon construction.
The event will address how project owners and designers can meet environmental challenges and upcoming RE2020 thresholds while ensuring performance, durability, and financial sustainability. Participants will explore the integration of low-carbon concrete products into project specifications and the importance of functional units in environmental assessment.
Mohamed Boutouil, Deputy Director for Research and Education at BUILDERS École d’Ingénieurs and representative of the French CircleBIM pilot, will contribute to the discussion by connecting regulatory developments with circular and data-driven construction approaches promoted within CircleBIM.
Coffee reception will begin at 8:15am, followed by presentations from 8:30am to 10:30am.
