On 27 February 2026, the CircleBIM project will be presented at Forskning i Virkeligheden 2026 (Research in Practice Conference), organized by Professionshøjskolen UCN in Aalborg, Denmark. The conference focuses on the role of applied research in society and highlights how collaboration between education, research, and professional practice can generate real-world impact.
During the parallel session “CircleBIM and AI: new paths to sustainable and data-driven decision-making in construction”, the presentation CircleBIM – the connection between research, education ,and practice will introduce how the project links academic knowledge, teaching activities, and industry collaboration to support circular economy principles in the built environment. The talk will show how Building Information Management (BIM) and cross-disciplinary cooperation can help operationalize sustainability goals and improve decision-making processes throughout the construction lifecycle.
The conference brings together researchers, educators, students, companies, and public partners working across health, technology, social sciences, and business fields. By presenting CircleBIM in this context, the project contributes to the discussion on how international research and innovation initiatives can strengthen education and support the transition toward more sustainable and digitally enabled construction practices.
