Presentation highlights the role of BIM in advancing circular construction and cross-disciplinary research
On 13 May 2025, Professionshøjskolen UCN held its annual Focus on Research & Innovation Day, welcoming researchers and professionals from a wide range of disciplines to discuss current projects and ideas for future collaboration.
As part of the programme, the CircleBIM project was presented, introducing its vision for integrating Building Information Management (BIM) into circular construction practices in the public sector. The presentation underlined the potential of BIM-supported processes to improve sustainability, resource efficiency, and interdisciplinary cooperation.
The session sparked engaging conversations about the future of digital tools in construction and how universities can foster innovation by bridging disciplines. The day concluded with a workshop to develop ideas for future joint research initiatives, reaffirming a strong commitment to applied innovation and sustainable practices in the built environment.
