Partners met at the BUILDERS Living Lab to discuss the French pilot site, circular construction innovations, and future dissemination activities within the CircleBIM project.

On 5 March 2026, a CircleBIM workshop was held at BUILDERS as part of the collaboration with the French LCCP, focusing on the BUILDERS Living Lab pilot site. The meeting brought together project partners to review the progress of the CircleBIM project and to exchange updates on pilot activities.

During the session, the French pilot site was presented, highlighting several innovations related to circular construction, including the use of earth-based construction techniques (Cobbauge process) and recycled concrete. The role of the circular economy consultant OLSO, appointed to support the environmental and circular follow-up of the construction works, was also introduced.

Participants also discussed the CircleBIM framework and explored ways to disseminate the methodology developed within CircleBIM. Proposed actions included sharing the work with students, connecting with other regional projects in Normandy, testing the methodology on additional case studies, and organizing site visits. Opportunities to integrate the approach into public procurement processes were also considered, as well as presenting the work at the regional forum scheduled for 19 May in Caen.

The discussion further addressed the role of BIM within the pilot, including the possibility of modelling reuse scenarios and documenting circular strategies within the digital workflow.

The workshop concluded with the agreement to organize a follow-up meeting to continue the coordination of the French pilot activities.
